Your comments alerts disappear once the comment has been viewed. If there are 7 guestbook comments, once you view your guestbook, all the alerts will disappear. However!! If you want them to remain until you've deleted each and every on, well by all means...

Seems to me that most people are--to varying degrees--screaming (or maybe just talking loudly) the following: "NOTICE me! SEE me! Acknowlege me! LOVE ME, talk to me, notice me, like me, give a shi.t about me!" Screaming on the inside, that is.
