Two little Kittens

So I've been on tenterhooks while Molly got bigger and bigger, I thought yesterday would have been the charm as she was in and out of her nest most of the day.
Sadly not to be.
So we all headed to bed at around 10 pm and it was lights out - until just after midnight, Molly woke both Felix and me.
Clearly something was up with her, she was meowing, rolling on to her back and purring all at the same time, while I felt her tummy her waters broke - not gently but like a guided missile, fortunately most of it hit my hand it was then I suggested to Molly that we should head down to her nest so the rest of the birth could go without further mishap this was at 1230 - ish, Molly had no objections.
We all went down to the airing cupboard where Molly had made her nest - but first of all I had to wash my hands which Molly didn't like as I was supposed to be helping her with the birth. I'm not exactly sure when it was decided that I was to be her birth buddy, but that was the role I had been given so had to rise to this challenge (all this while fighting the effects of a sleeping tablet so I wasn't exactly with it )
The first birth occurred roughly one fifteen am, a very cute black and white female - the spitten image of Felix and once Molly and I had her settled the second arrived again, a black and white but this time a male at the time of writing, both Molly and the bairns are doing fine - albeit Molly is looking slightly stressed by the mewling bundles of fur.
Thank god there are only two this time
As for Felix, he turned out to be a little trooper. Apart from loosing it during the births - the kind of noise Molly was making, it's not surprising he blanched and headed for the living room and the couch but since then he has been attentive to her - the cynic in me wonders if he is hoping she would come into season soon
