The key to happiness
Posted On 06/07/2009 14:27:47 by RalionMa

Hey there :D - its one of the days again where I had the time to think about stuff :) - and this time I have thought about happiness :) -

There are some sayings that describe human life as a persue of happiness - that see happiness as some fleeting moment in time that can not be held on too :) -

Well that might be true but I believe that the key to happiness or one key :) as there might be others around :) - is to love oneself profoundly :) with all the good and bad points that one might posses - to accept oneself wholely and to see oneself as something to be seen perfect with all its flaws. This of course does not mean that you should go now out there and think you are more than others....no on the contrary you should also see yourself reflected in every being that is out there as we all are perfect in our way... lol the best part is that this is sooooo old its allready in the holy bible lol :D I mean the love yourself as you  love your neighbour??? lol I dont know how its spelled in english because I never went to a church in england :) haha - BUT the problem is that this simple wisdom, is not seen important at all :) - all the time we are made to believe that you are only important or special if your deeds made you this way :) - and that is wrong :D

And yes I think I understand what you mean with the moon in the mirrors of water :) - yet I believe this has all a reason :) the separation and everything :) - I mean the source is one right? Soooo why come into little pieces into existance, why not being connected via mind channel right from the start :) - we can breathe right? We can scream? But we are not able to transfer our thoughts :) - nor to read them it seems? :) soooo why is that? I believe if the ego had no right to be and the whole "suffering" and "attachment" had no right to be it would not be there :) - What I mean is that I dont think that this reality is flawed :) - I dont think that this is some kind of prison that we have to break free in order to move on :) - I dont believe in karma either :) - so I believe that this has all a reason :) - we are born perfect, even if you are not able to live. I believe that this is also part of some bigger plan :) lol - yes indeed I believe that this whole creation is some kind of distraction for the immortal soul :) - and the ego is a way to make it more fascinating all over again :) - to give the diamond more facets, to give the moon another reflection :) - The important part is :) that we...as people :) we do suffer and feel pain and anguish and we normally dont like it :) - so it is in our very best interest to learn how to change this pattern into happieness :) - and to find a way of life that is pleaseant :). But for our soul and that I am quite sure off...it is all the same :)

Haha well that is ok for me :) I am labeled so allready lol :D - so I dont mind :) but it is true the "ego" is needed to function properly :) - and it should not be overemphasized the dificulty in thinking in the whole and yet feel the I at the same time :) - actually I can think that I am connected to everyone...but I dont feel it. What is quite ok for me because if I would maybe my frail self couldnt accept it and be nuts for real :) - Its something that happens with people who have a mental breakdown :) - so to function properly we need the division :) - and yet I think it would be good for us all to realize the one ness of it all :)

Hey there Little Red :) - I agree with you on a lot :) - the only thing that I am still trying to get my mind around is the ego part :) - I mean it is true by seeing oneself separated from the others we start to see the differences rather than the conjunctions right :). But I think the "ego" as the self awareness and genuine distinction from others is also an important part of our life :) - as we are born in separate bodies :) - I think that this has also its right to be :) - the problem is that we are tought that what we do has to be meassured against some standard :) the competitiveness that is I think the main problem :) - we are presented with values like "right" or "wrong", "good", "bad", you can see this most distinctly in the fashion world :) - the hunger to be "special" leads to absurd things right? :) but I dont mean that fashion is wrong :) - I just mean the need to separate oneself from others is inborn in the feeling that being just who you are is not enough :) - you have to make your self special not by being special in yourself but by obtaining something that makes you special in a way. :) - And I dont think killing is bad or good either :) - I mean of course that is not my "personal" perspective because if someone would try to kill me or something similar I would not like it :) - but the fact in itself that taking life or destroying something is not bad or good :) - because nothing ever can be destroyed just changed in form. I and I believe many others you included love life and its beauty but I believe for the universe Chaos is as equally beautifull :) - a toxic waste plant equal to a beautifull rose or a new born baby. But that is not my personal perspective as I am quite human still lol - and I like things and dislike others but that is me :) - So the ego :) I think the ego is also important because it is not evil in its way or good, but what it has to loose is the fear :) - the feeling of inferiority  - the need to excell so that you are special :) - and then just excell for the fun of it :) - or dont :) and its ok :) - just do it for the fun of it all

Because a genuine happy person can not be controlled by anything :)

Actually I think the honourable just scratch that :) - with the rest I agree. Because Honour and all this stuff involving it :) - its just a tool to control us :) - who set the rules to define what is honourable? Things you would not do normally if you would just follow your "low" instincts right? :D - natural yes indeed :) - the love for oneself and then for the others it should be natural :) - but society is working against it with everything it does.
