Eunice Crankyponts hates lies. I thought I would let you all know that I am probably the most honest person on the face of this earth. One thing I cannot stand is a lie no matter how small or grandiose it may be - I hate them with the intensity of one thousand white hot suns.
If I am led to believe that something and you tell me straight up with a straight face and with eloquence to give off the illusion of truth welp, then I will believe you. However, if you then go on to do the opposite of what you previously espoused as truth well, then you are a FiretrUCKING liar.
I cannot stand a person who fabricates the truth the satisfy their own pathetic need for whatever the heck it is they are looking for. I cannot say that I have never lied but I will say this, I am honest as they come. Simply put, I remain honest so as not to hurt feelings. I try to empathize with the other person by putting my feet in their shoes - look at things from their perspective, then I say what is on my mind. I do not hold back unless I know that I might hurt someone.
Communication is an art form and if in the hands of someone who lies - well then how is THAT communicating. Next time you want to lie - think about how the other person might feel if the truth came out! :) Believe me, the truth has a way of finding it;s way to the person anyway - so it would behoove you to just speak it and be done with it.
Here are some funny quotes about lies:
People never lie so much as after a hunt, during a war or before an election.
— Otto Von Bismarck
One may sometimes tell a lie, but the grimace that accompanies it tells the truth.
— Friedrich Nietzsche
One always has the air of someone who is lying when one speaks to a policeman.
— Charles-Louis Philippe
Note that venerable proverb: Children and fools always speak the truth. The deduction is plain: adults and wise persons never speak it.
— Mark Twain
No man has a good enough memory to make a successful liar.
— Abraham Lincoln
Never tell a lie--except for practice.
— Mark Twain
Never chase a lie. Let it alone, and it will run itself to death.
— Lyman Beecher
