So I had another doctors appointment today to discuss that insect bite I got on my leg last weekend, all in all he's happy at the way the infection has shrunk to a small area around the bite site - which is on my shin. He has, however put me on different antibiotics for the next week which should kill off any remaining infection.

I'm also doing something I haven't done since my twenties - and that is to grow my beard again. It's still early days yet - not yet 4 days old - but I swear if you get the sunlight just right it shows up red  As I just said in a comment to Red-petite; if it stays red I'm keeping it, however, if it turns brown out come the shears again ...

Did you know that you're technically a redhead? Seriously! A redbeard makes you a redhead, so I too will hope for red facial hair :)

And good news about that insect bite; damnable little things are scary, huh?

Glad to hear that scary bite is clearing up. Knew a guy years ago who had brown hair, but when he grew a beard it was red. And not just red, it was BRIGHT red. Everyone thought either his hair or his beard were dyed, but they weren't.  Look forward to pics of the bearded Philly!

Any way it turns out, don't forget to place some pics please!. BikerRed, Fuego, you... damn, I think I'm going to let my one grow as well... It's about time a red bearded lady makes the news! lol.

I hope all is well with that bite. Good Luck with the beard, too. I will say a special pixie prayer that your  beard will be the most brightest and beautiful red.
