Redheaded Punks
Yes, I am violating the one blog per day rule, but the issue of redheaded punks is too important to ignore for another day.
Why are so many of the punk and bratty boys in movies redheaded? Don't redheads get enough juvenile torment as kids?
Christmas Story - a great movie - but who is the major protaganist? A redheaded punk bully. I see it on TV all the time. I could give you scads of examples, but all of you redheads already know exactly what I am talking about.
My 18 year old son often reminds my 23 year old son (who inherited his mother's red hair) about this undeserved reputation of redheaded brattiness among redheaded boys. Redheaded girls, on the other hand, are often punkish as children but it charmingly grows into that spicy redheaded temperament that redophiles all adore (for the most part).
