I had a werewolf dream.
Driving with mom, wind-y road, roller coaster feeling but side to side instead of up and down.
Decided to stop for hotdogs
As we’re deciding what to order, all the people in the restaurant kind of went away, one by one.
Ominous feeling, like, palpable.
Tried to get a guy to take our order, after we decided what we wanted. There was no one at the front counter so I went to the kitchen area and it was just a little cubicle, not even open to the front, and there was a guy there who spoke bad English, he was Russian, and he wouldn’t take our order or even get out of the cubicle. He said the bosses were coming, he couldn’t help us.
We never got to eat (I woke up starving is why I mention it, lol).
We left as it was getting really scary-feeling, walked out of the restaurant into a hallway, these very large people were coming from both ways, three in one direction, two in the other
We just had to make it to the elevator
Somehow I knew that I had been designated as a werewolf killer, and that’s what these people were, and I knew that I needed more practice first
I saw myself, kind of like in my mind’s eye, with a big claw on my right index finger, and that I could skewer the werewolves with that claw right in the centers of their chests and lift them off the ground and throw them over my head.
I don’t know how that killed them or even if it hurt them but I just saw that that’s what I was going to be doing.
But I wasn’t ready to fight and I had my mom there so I was very scared and nervous.
We got into the elevator, just narrowly avoiding trouble with the werewolves--they were acting like “the lost boys” all cocky and menacing.
There was a guy in the elevator, a good guy, a cute guy, and he didn’t talk but I knew what he was saying. He was to be one of my teachers and allies and I already had a crush on him.
Then the elevator started going down and it all went fuzz.
It was really scary and good and I kept trying to get back into it, to no avail.
Later I dreamt that my father died and I was at my aunt’s house for the funeral. There were a lot of animals, and even Rags, their dog from more than 20 years ago was there. They were all on the couch, all the dogs, and some were hiding behind Linus and Dulci.
There were a bunch of cats there, too, and one of them was a pretty red one and it was shy and I looked at its tag and at first I saw “Slut” and thought, of course, WHO would name a cat “Slut”?? Then I saw it was “Slub,” not much better.
I took my animals to my cousin Sam’s room, that’s where I was staying and Slub was in the closet. My friend Jen was there, too and it turns out Slub was HER cat.
Then it turned out that my dad wasn’t dead after all, he just needed some medical care. He was laying on the couch and he needed physical therapy or something, and I was arranging the pillows behind him (he disappeared as I started arranging the pillows) and got something for his feet to rest on and then I wondered if I could spend all my time driving back and forth to my aunt’s house to take care of him and I decided it would be selfish not to.
(IRL I've seen my dad maybe 6 times in my whole life; he's pretty much a d**k and I feel no obligation to him whatsoever, so I don't know what the dream me was thinking.)
Anyway, I was waiting and waiting for people to come home and I kept looking out the window and I saw this woman in a blue uniform dress, like a maid, dancing down the street.
C'est tout.
Anyway, I postponed my test til next week.
Did I sort of chicken out?
Yep.
Am I still shellshocked from the other test?
Boy howdy.
Am I being smart in taking advantage of as much of the training as I can before I take the test?
I believe so.
Are question-talkers totally annoying?
Yes. Yes they quite are.
