Growing up there were not very many redheads in my small town.

Redheaded jokes seems to the butt of the boys jokes. I moved from there when I was 19 to a larger town, and still felt out of place. About three years ago I moved into a small town, where it seems to be redheaded founded. I began to look around and saw that 1 of 5 people had red hair. YES!!!! I am not alone.

I just found this site, and love it!!!!!!!

Ihope to make new friends, and share my joys and dissappointments.

Why is that you hardly hear a song about a redhead, see models, and there are very few items made just for us?

I'm waiting and hoping they will make hair color for redheads eventually.  About makeup, I haven't a clue how to put it on, other than eye makeup, so I don't wear it.

I think most of us have had teasing problems going up, but that usually stops once we are adults.

There is a company that makes makeup "Just for Redheads"...I think that's what it's called. I haven't tried it because I don't wear makeup.

Me? I'm trying to develop sunscreen just for reds. Our skin is different and we need more protection.

I think overall, people just don't understand us. They may CALL us "just people with red hair," but I think down deep, they retain a primeval fear of us.

Yep, I'm almost sure of it.

Also, they're jealous.

welcome, I don't know whether its a good or bad thing to have so many redheads together in one place. Of course, what am I saying its a GREAT thing.

I hate that they make shampoo for blonds and brunettes. Ok so they make one for redheads, that I know of, I tried it and it made my hair very greasy so I didn't buy it again.

Again welcome!
