We've run out of work the last two nights. Yesterday it slowed to a pathetic trickle at THREE p.m. FYI, that's one hour after we get in. And 7.5 hours before we can leave.
The day before it slowed up at 3:30.
Makes for a helluva long day, when essentially you're just sitting around. Every once in awhile, there's a ticket in the queue, and if you time it just right you can grab it.
Mostly, though, it's watching the queues and missing the work. It will say there are 10 tickets available, but then you click--hope bursting from your industrious little heart--only to get the dreaded "no records found" message.
If we could get online or use our phones, it would be different. But alas, we cannot. So we sit. We listen to music.
The woman next to me colors. In coloring books.
Is it weird that a 28 year old woman with 2 kids colors?
In coloring books?
I don't know. I just really hope that there is work today. Really.
