So I had another doctors appointment today to discuss that insect bite I got on my leg last weekend, all in all he's happy at the way the infection has shrunk to a small area around the bite site - which is on my shin. He has, however put me on different antibiotics for the next week which should kill off any remaining infection. I'm also doing something I haven't done since my twenties - and that is to grow my beard again. It's still early days yet - not yet 4 days old - but I swear if y... Read More
So I've been saying I have a bout of the summer flu, I found out yesterday that it wasn't - I'd been bitten by something small and nasty. About the same time as I got feverish, I noticed a red and painful mark on my right leg, which got worse as the weekend wore on. So I was sent away with a double course of antibiotics and told to com... Read More
Well, no, no it's not. Which is to say, I still have me stitches. I had a feeling, cuz it's still REAL tender (albeit so itchy I can hardly stand it sometimes) and it still feels like it pulls when I bend certain ways, and sure enough, Doc said let's leave 'em another week. It's everso, erm...scabby (n... Read More
Ya know the movie Kindergarten cop? I love that movie, and my favorite scene is where Ahnuld has a headache and that little kid says "maybe it's a tumor" and he says "It's NOTta TUMUH." I say that ALL the time. Which is kinda funny, cuz it turns out MY thing? Yep, a TUMUH. Apparently VERY rare, doc said he's only see 2 or 3 in his WHOLE career. It's called a Proliferating Trichelemmal (sp, doctor's handwriting, donchaknow) Cyst, but it's actually classe... Read More
wow that was about the most painful thing i've ever experienced, getting that thing outta my back just now. he kept having to RE-shoot me with the local and that just KILLED and then the stupid cyst thingie went so far down that he couldn't numb right under it and so as he was digging the stupid thing out these horribly stinging sharp pains were shooting down to my muscle. turns out it was HUGE, that thing. it had turned into this hard cyst and he showed it to me after and WOW...
