Free Friday

Well, this Friday was awesome. I didn't do anything big or great (ok, it was great actually), but I had fun. Which always makes me hyper.

So... still had to get over the doc visit, but miraculously it was quick and in a few blinks it was over (no pain and luckily no blood either... or I'd have been flat on the floor in a heartbeat).

After that I was invited for lunch. So I went over to my mom's workplace and we got to eat some of my favourite dishes. (She also liked them, so it was very nice.)

After that we talked with some nice family friends. The real friends, not those who come over and start poking us for whatever.

And after that I went over to my jeweller friends. They work in a small shop in the older part of the city, so I always envy them. They get to work in the pretty area of the city, and I get to work in the new and trendy (= ugly as hell) part. Lucky them.

The boss is a really clever guy, but very lazy. There was a year when I had to pester him for 6 months so he would fix my ring. I had to threaten him too. (He believes that I'm a witch. Go figure. Still, at least I can threaten him with funny curses.) Still, we are friends and can talk through an afternoon if we have time.

Anyway, he fixed my ring (stone fell out, so first I had to go and buy another tourmaline) and while we talked I had some fun with his tools and made a ring from some spare material he didn't need. It was just a silver ring with a knot on it, nothing special this time. But we agreed that the next time I'll have time off I'm going to bring my knot book and try something more challenging. He's hell bent on making me a jeweller.
