10,000 Members or Bust

We're going to hit the long-awaited momentous 10,000 member mark in the next couple weeks, and I for one am excited as hell.  In the grand scheme of things -- universe-span-scheme-like -- it's not an incredibly large amount. Not even breathtaking whern you consider that there are some 120 to 240 million of us out there... But 10,000 redheads all connected to one another, sharing interests and stories and love in one place is in my mind, and heart, well, sigh.... It is awesome. As in I am awed. And some. 

So I'm casting about for ideas for something fittingly grand to mark the occasion.  My thoughts are leaning toward a contest that will send two members to Scotland (land of the 13%-ers), kinda like the contest we held to bring two members to NYC for St. Patrick's day last year.

Anyone have any truly mind-exploding ideas for the 10,000 member mark?

Well, blogs move down the front page fast anymore.

I'd suggest you open this up in a forum post.  It'll probably get more attention, more replies, and stick around longer that way.

I'm busy going door-to-door giving out reward notices for of my parent's lost kitties, so still haven't had time to think too much.  I had some vague idea, maybe a video that shows what being a redhead means to you.  Hmm, I guess you had a similar essay awhile back that LittleRed won, though, right?  I can't quite remember the topic.

Oh, and going with Hillary's commerative thing, we haven't seen the collage of Rehedd t-shirt wearers.

Yea!  Hope we can double that number real soon.
That's quite some prize!  ...but I'm not sure of what the contest could be, or did you mean another refferal contest?  I think that's pretty good.
As for ways to mark the occasion, I have mixed feelings on the tapestry.  It's kinda cute, but red belongs on the head!

I just read this, so I'll keep thinking.

how about a youtube video where everyone who wants to on the site can submit a photo and the video is all our photos and try get someone to record some music especially for it?

a bit of an advertisement for the site aswell as a nice way of showing us all together
