isn't that what it's called? New York City I mean?

Our hotel is on 44th and Broadway. Well a little bit in from Broadway. Which sadly means that if we were a little closer to Broadway I could probably watch the ball drop while sitting on my arse in the warmth.

But rather, we're going to brave the already-unbelievable throngs of incredibly slow tourists (not that I'm not a tourist, but I walk like the wind) to watch what just happens to be the super-fantastic ball they made for the 100th anniversary of the Times Square celebration. I'm so excited. I'm so scared.

Yesterday we walked from 44th to the Brooklyn Bridge and crossed it and took a train back. I reckon that's ten miles. What's more, I had a teenager with me, and we all know teenagers are supposed to be the biggest pains in the arse in the world. Not this one. What a sport. "Are you tired?" "I'm okay." Good girl. Stuff that pain deep down inside.

We stopped inside a store called ABC Carpet & Home (despite it's unappealing name) and I could have moved into that place. I wanted everything. People talk about going into the city to shop and now I KNOW.

must go. no more writie. more later.

I thought it was "The Large Prickly Pear"...

Oh, but I'm jealous, it sounds very exciting.

I'd be a'skeared too, though.

Will be waiting w/baited breath for the "more later."
