Wow!
It has been quite a while since I wrote a blog! Things are well. I was robbed back in May and the person who pawned my stuff is behind bars awaiting her trial. I am happy about this.
What else have I been up to? Well, at the beginning of the year, I started to podcast and that can be found at www.autismwarriors.com Autism is my passion because of the fact that I have two children on the spectrum. This podcast is about Autism from a parent's perspective. My vision for this podcast is just to get the word out, educate, and then talk about our lives in our world of Autism. My cohost and I usually have a guest every week. Toward the end of July we had to shut down operations because my producer was having a crisis. Right now, I am learning how to do the podcast from nuts to bolts. So far, I know how to broadcast. I also have to use a program called Virtual Audio Cable to set up the show so we can hear everyone on the podcast. This was fun to learn!
My next adventure is learning how to produce the show, in other words, edit the crap out of it so it sounds pretty when someone wants to download it from ITunes, or the Say It productions website. I also co-host a podcast called Talk duo - its a morning show for people who hate the mornings. That has shut down indefinitely but you can listen to what we have made so far at www.talkduo.com I loved doing this podcast because we talked about bizarre stories that we found in the news and every week, I would find a good p e n i s story to ramble on about. It was great fun!
I graduated from college in May, it took a little over 4 years but I completed my bachelor's degree! I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a double minor; one in child development and the other in Sociology. What a long strange trip its been! I am now on to graduate studies and working to obtain my Masters of Arts in Human Services with a concentration in Not-for-profit management. So far, I am acing my courses. Yay!
I apologize for not writing more blogs in the past over a YEAR!! I should write more because it is a good outlet and from what I have seen people actually read them. Yet, outside of doing this, I have a life raising two children on my own, coursework, podcasts, and playing games. I have missed blogging!
I don't have much else to say, for now. I hope all of my redhedd brethren are fairing well.
