To cut or not to cut.....

Okay...so I like when my hair is long, but lets face it  I've got these highlights that I do want to get out and just leave my hair natural so it will be healthier. The only way to really do anything with it is cut it or just let them grow out and start trimming my hair as it gets longer. If I just put hair color on the highlights the color will just fade  into light again so that won't really help.

I had a great haircut that was much shorter a few years ago and I'm CONSIDERING going back to this. You guys tell me what you think please.

This is a horrible quality picture that was altered by someone. Taken three years go by a webcam so the quality is just ridiculous. LOL However....it's all I have of that haircut. Don't ask me why my expression was so serious. LMAO It sucks much I know...but

So should I get it cut like this again or let it grow back how it was in my profile pic?

Interesting.

  1. First hair is a dead protein.
  2. Hair can also be thin, medium or thick density
  3. It can be straight, curly or wavy.
  4. Hair counts on heads vary to color: Blonde -146,000, Black-110,000, Brunette-100,000 and RED- 86,000.
  5. Conditioner deals with "healthy", normal, oily, dry, damaged or a combination.
  6. Once chemicals have modified the hair the change is done.

So I googled Nicole Kidman to see what different styles she's done- for the most part long. I'd consult an expert hairdresser  to  see what options you have with those highlights.

It's your decision- eitherway you don't change on the inside and you look nice either way.

Well the red color...my natural color doesn't fade because that's my natural red. The highlights are done with bleach so there's no changing that really.

If I put red hair color over the highlights it will fade...no doubt so I know that isn't a solution.

So I am stuck with cutting or leaving it. Sucks when it comes to decisions on haircuts huh? lol

if you don't like the highlights you need to cut it. Red hair fades super fast. I get my hair done every six and it fades 3 to 4 shades lighter than it was done. I like that picture you posted of your wavy hair. I think you should go back to that. Thats a gorgeous picture of you....you are gorgeous!!!!!! I'm jealous....keep me posted about the hair i wanna know everything pretty lady

Jules beat me to it.... I was going to suggest donating to locks of love. My daughter did that when she was in secong grade. Locks of love actually sent a thank you card and noted that her hair color is very unique and asked if I would consider letting her donate again. Of course. ITs a GREAT cause. The style does look good on you!

Way-I have a horribly round face so I think that is why I did like this haircut because it  toned my face down a bit. Lil Way is precious for saying I should show my whole face...makes me feel better about it being so round. =D  That's sweet.

Tim- LMAO you're a trip

Jules- Cutting the hair is a tough thing to do if  I do it. I don't quite have that much to cut so I wouldn't be able to donate. It's maybe 6 inches longer than that photo since I cut it about 5 months ago I guess....maybe a little more. When I cut it last time I cut off a foot so I should have given it then huh?

Way thinks,    chin length. You have strong cheekbones and jawline. Littleway looks best when her whole face is visible.

Well, as you might have guessed, I'm a fan of the long hair, but I do like that cut. It's cute and frames your face.

I'd never tell anyone to cut their hair (cuz what if they HATE it?), but if you have at least 10 inches to spare, you can donate to locks of love AND get that cute haircut back AND get your hair all healthy.

Is what I'm saying
