"Anti-Ginger" TV Commercials

Last night my ears pricked up to the word ginga (sounds like binga) on the TV. It was a commercial by electronic retailer Bond and Bond. The commercial featured their latest deal and a still photo of some redheaded kid with a ridiculous expression. The tagline of the commerical was get crazy over these deals like a ginga, or something like that I can't really remember.

The point is should this sort of thing be allowed? Bond and Bond has come under fire before by Erin Brockovich after their commercials stated that "fridges are like woman, better younger" and lately (New Zealand has a high debt level) their commercials incouraged people to get into debt.

Those commercials had complaints lodged, however the ginga commercial has since stopped although a news article today about the bond and Bond commercials does not touch on the subject of the ginga commerical. But comments on the others.

My point is should commercials that openly slag red headed people be allowed? And has this sort of thing happened in other countries?

Well that's my days worth of complaining over.

I don't think you would see that kind of thing here only because we are so up our own asses with political correctness... That and we're called redheads instead of gingers here.

But holy crap. Let's go launch a red missile into their recording studio.

Callum might be something a "red" attorney in New Zealand might sink his or her teeth into. In the States they nailed a radio TV host Don Imus.
