Some of you know (and even CARE and thank you!) that Linus, my big dog, has not been feeling well.
Took him to the vet today for a blood test, and urinalysis to rule out diabetes and kidney disease and to check on the thyroid.
This is Linus:
Seriously: have you ever seen more soul in a dog? Yeah, me neither.
So, the good news is, the thyroid is just a little low, and so they adjusted his meds, and hopefully he will start losing weight again (we had him down to 101, then he went back up to 107, and he really should be at 95). Every extra pound in a dog his size and age, especially, is strain that can cause other problems.
Bad news is, they couldn't do the other test (and I ask you: HOW can a VET "not find a bladder"?? I mean, come ON), so we don't know if it's something more serious yet.
Will be fun trying to, er (and ew), catch a sample tomorrow morning.
ButI do it gladly I love this dog. He IS my best friend, for reals.
And I have to face the fact that he is eleven years old, and will now be facing more health problems.
Anyway, I'm keeping a good thought, and giving him lots of extra attention.
Here's an illie I did of Linus and Dulci:
That is all, continue about your day. Or night. Whatever.
Oh and no offense but I really hate the music player thing in the blog. I am forever have to pause then when I am also doing other things....just saying.
Our doggie is ten this year. They've still got plenty'o'time. I'm sorry that your vet must me sadistic, making people catch their puppy's urine. But I'm sure that everything will turn out okay!
