One of my favorite things about having so many redheads from all over the world coming together to interact on this site is hearing all the wonderful vernacular.

The missus says when she overhears me giving an interview that I start to pick up the accent of whomever I'm talking to.

Part of it's the chameleon in me that picks up the shade of my surroundings to better blend in.

Part of it's that I bore the shinola out of myself and anything different from what I hear EVERY. FARKING. DAY. is a blessing.

And part of it I think is that US English is just so monotonous. Every other English-speaking country slaps a beautiful lilt onto their words, but we just badabadabadabadabadabada. For better or worse. I'm not saying good or bad. I'm just saying.

But it makes me glad to have so many others here now. Thanks for coming y'all.

I pick up laughs. I have like...20 different laughs depending on whom I'm speaking to.

I don't know if it necessarily that our accent is boring, or if it's more so that it SOUNDS boring to us, because it's all we ever hear.

Steve, I do the SAME THING.

I seriously have to warn people, cuz I never realize when it's happening, and I've been accused of mocking accents.
