Stuck at work again, and I've run out of things to do... When will the bosses learn that once the market closes, my day is essentially over....?
But since I'm here... A few oddly funny things I have been meaning to throw out there...
I was attempting to visit a redhedder's page the other day, someone I thought looked friendly. Oddly enough, when I clicked on his picture, I got this error message: "The member you are trying to visit has asked that you be of a certain age to view the content on their page". Hhhmmm, I thought to myself, I wonder if I am too young, or too old??? The "member" looked to be approximately my age, give or take a couple of years - and I am 36. At 36, I kind of fall right in the middle of the age ranges- rarely am I left out. I get the 20-40 stuff. I get the 30-50 stuff. You get the idea. So I ponder- what age range did this particular person set that my age was out of the range?  Maybe he is only looking for friends who are 37 and older...
How many of the older (by older I mean that you have been on here for at least 3 or 4 years) members on here remember when Steve played that joke on everyone and made it so when you typed certain words, they automatically changed to another word? He also had it set like that for curse words (might still be?). I giggle to myself every time I see the word "beetroot" on someone's page or in a blog... teehee!!
So, I have a habit of taking my lunch break and simply driving to a place where I can read in peace. I was sitting in my car, in a deserted parking lot, under a tree today - completely lost in my new book. So much so that I hadn't even noticed another car had pulled in a few stalls down from me. However, when I did notice that the guy in the car was looking at me, it startled me so much I actually screamed out loud and threw my book... Apparently it was funny to watch, because all he could do was laugh at me...
