Rented a couple of movies last night, one of them being Once. I've been wanting to see this. Heard it was really good.. Plus, it stars redheaded actor and singer/songwriter, Glen Hansard. After seeing it, however, I recommend that you just go out and buy the soundtrack. :D
From now on, if I am told a movie is good, I'm just going to assume it's bad. :)

Uhh yeah... There are movies which people have told me "oh my gosh this is the best movie ever" "oh its so good!" "i LOVE this movie"
Movies like Anchorman, Napoleon Dynamite, Van Wilder, and Wedding Crashers. People hype them up SOOOOO much and then I end up hating them b/c they aren't nearly as good as people make them out to be. Not even close.
amen sister. I saw it a few weeks ago, and promptly bought the album. 2 songs rock my sox, one being "say it to me now" that I think he played on the street and the other being the duet they played in the music store, when your mind's made up". I may have that wrong, but either way those 2 songs blow my mind.
it's kinda cool, the actors are glen hansard from the band the frames, and marketa irglova, who he sang with on his solo album the swell season.
glen hansard was also in the commitments, a movie from 10 or so years ago about an Irish r&b (not the kanye west kind) band.
RoddyDoyle wrote the commitments as a novel first, and he is an amazingly awesome writer who had a great story called thephotograph in the newyorker back in late '06.
wow. isn't this why they loved the internet so much in the beginning?
