Freezie cold and snowing and I'm SO addicted to nicotine that I ventured out at 12:30 a.m. in the dumping-down snow and frigid air to get some smokes.
Had to run two stoplights. Not cuz of the snow or slippery road, but because the lights wouldn't change.
I just can't feature sitting there for endless minutes, you know?
Anyway, the girl at the Circle K totally recognized me, asked if I needed smokes, knew my brand, etc. Wondered where I'd been, and so I told her about changing my schedule. And then she said something about the manager of the store, looking just like me, and being Irish and all.
And I had to say, yes, I probably am, but I don't know for sure, since I was adopted.
One of these days, I will have to just find my parentage.
I've heard it's expensive, though. Anyone done this? I guess you have to get a court order to get the records unlocked or something?
Aaaaand you can see how much research I've done.
So anyway, it was really interesting on the way back home, because the plows had not been out yet. WEeeeeeeeeeeee!!, essentially.
Stupidly did NOT wear gloves and I do think my fingers were on the verge of frostbite or whatever, because they were coldcoldcold, then stingy, then hothothot.
Anyway.
I did have a point, I swear.
I think I've lost it now, though.
I've been up and down again tonight, but the sleeping, she won't take.
The thing is, I do not WANT to go to work tomorrow.
I will, though.
And apparently, as evinced by last week, even if I fall asleep, I'll do an ok job
Well, I think if you REALLY wanted to find out about your biological parents you would have done that by now...IDK maybe I am wrong....you just don't sound all that enthused about it.
As for late night trips to get smokes...yea I had to do that for jackass at 1am saturday morning. *sigh*
