Your comments alerts disappear once the comment has been viewed. If there are 7 guestbook comments, once you view your guestbook, all the alerts will disappear. However!! If you want them to remain until you've deleted each and every on, well by all means...
I made a new setting in your "Profile Settings" page:

Between "show geomap" and "min/max age" is an option called "Delete Comment Alerts After View"
By default it's set to "No" so alerts will not be deleted. But you can set it to "yes" and they will be deleted once you have viewed them.
