When the evening dawns, I shall begin work on a new piece. I haven't seriously drawn in some time, so I'm looking forward to seeing how much of an experiment this will be.
Envisioned piece: "The Women of Punk" meets a "Victorian Valentine's Day" / The intended subjects are Siouxsie Sioux, Debbie Harry, Nina Hagen, and Soo Catwoman. And the style will probably be in the vain of graphic pop-art & fashion illustration with some scattered vintage filigree and abandon.
If all goes well and it turns out the way I hope, limited edition prints (possibly on canvas) will be available at my ETSY shop after it breaks ground. And, if I do decide to go the traditional route of paint, rather than a digital one, the original will also be up for grabs, probaby at auction.
This piece has me excited! I believe that the women who shook the world of punk have been overlooked and underappreciated throughout the years. This will be my tribute.
