For five days straight now, I've had Black Bird by the Beatles stuck in my head... and I have still not become sick of it. Every morning I sing it in the shower. I hum it in the middle of class (low enough not to disturb people, of course). When I'm catching up on my still life for Drawing II... the song is on repeat inside my head. It's as if I get my own musical everywhere I go. It amazes me that I still love the song. Most people would break after the second day.
Sometimes I wonder why people become so stressed out at college. They complain about all the homework, plus work, and attending to family obligations. But, honestly, it's rather simple... to me, at least. Maybe I oversimplify everything.... or something to that effect.
I'm going to teach myself this song on the guitar. Maybe that'll help me move onto another song... just maybe. I think I'll use this song the next time my nephew cannot go to sleep... I'll sing it to him as a lullaby.
