A Serious Problem.
Posted On 10/25/2007 19:09:10 by hillaryperson

Beware: I'm going on a rant/lecture here.

I feel that there is an issue with our female society that needs to be addressed. There was a time in this country when women sought the respect of their fellow man. There has been an EPIDEMIC of women flaunting themselves in obscene ways.

I see all of these women on this site and elsewhere posting pictures of themselves with their womanhood hanging out all over the place, and I can't imagine that these people honestly believe that behaving this way is going to earn them any respect.

Can you women honestly tell me that when you post pictures of your breasts and other such nonsense that you're not just coming out and saying, "Hey everybody! Fuck me!" These men don't say nice things to you because they want to have meaningful conversation or because they believe you've got a thought in your head. They know you're easy and they want to have sexual relations with you. When you're 50 you can't expect to still be throwing yourself at men and have them chase you around. You'll be alone and old and ugly.

Our foremothers fought for years suffering through persecution to earn equality and respect from men, not so that we could champion our sluttiness. Now we've given men a reason to believe that we shouldn't receive the same treatment as them. You give the rest of us a bad name. I love myself, and therefore I am loved. People view me as more than a good lay. Not to mention I'm not going to die of AIDS by the time I'm 30. ^_^

I agree, though. There's actually a feminist defence, in statements such as "It's respectable that I'm open with my sexuality," when in reality, it's simply auto-hyper-sexualisation. It's a sort of statement that physical intimacy means very little to these girls, and thusly presents men (or women attracted to women, I suppose) with this notion that they do not have to connect with her, or even view her as an equal, to get into her pants. There's a girl at my school who asked me why guys didn't seem to respect her, almost immediately after showing me a video on her phone of her straddling a sink faucet (yeah).
*shrug*
