980,000 Americans die per year because of preventable medical accidents. That's 270 people per day. Hospital mishaps are the 4th leading cause of death in this country. DAMN.

I learned this in orientation today.

I also found out that many of my patients are going to die while I'm sitting with them. That makes me hardcore sad.
