October in Review

1.  Most importantly, the Philadelphia Flyers are doing WELL.  First in the Atlantic Division WELL.  Words cannot express how fishing proud I am of my team.  Coming up to this standing after being the "worst team in the league" last year.  I put in quotes because despite the numbers, we'll never be the worst team.  That is reserved for the New Jersey Devils.  Also, for those who are lost, this is all about hockey.  If you don't watch it now, you should start.

2.   I am older.  Mid-month marked my one-year-closer-to-death-day.  I still get carded for R-rated movies and cigarettes. 

3.  Halloween party was a blast.  I was a pirate (and so were a whole bunch of other people).  I recruited them all into my GANG....I mean CREW.  So I was the Dread Pirate Red...with my hook which made me the Captain of course.  Did I mention I drank a lot? 

4.  Work is that level of hell just over from purgatory.  Feast or famine in it's hellishness actually.  I just wish the attorneys I worked for didn't need nearly as much babysitting as technically I'm not *their* assistant or secretary.  But y'know they look so helpless.  ;)

5.  Today the biggest laugh I had was seeing pictures of my coworker's hairless sphinx cat dressed in a little cop cat costume.  It's funnier when she told us he sat next to the front door for 2 hours waiting for her cop boyfriend to come home to see him in costume.

6.  You should all read more Charles De Lint.  I'm reading Onion Girl right now and thus far it's fantastic.
