I'm extermely happy at the moment... there are many reasons... but one of which is..I'll start from the beginning ladies and gents... right... as you all most likely know.. I work for an agency... I have been looking for a perminant job... In the mean while of searching for the job, I have been working at this one nursery I absolutely ADORE! AND LOVE!! so so so much!
SO.. there has been TWO jobs open up there... (which is good) Unfortuantly I didnt know about this until the closing date of applying... I know annoying. So the deputy manager called me into his office and said get these forms filled in and hand them in by the end of the day... Okay hint much? So I did... took me an HOUR... to do it.. and I thought it was terrible as it was rushed... etc... my hand writing wasnt the best either.
Anyways... I got an interview... obviously because Ive worked there, they know who I am, and blah blah.. (Ive literally been there for 6 months... as a temp) So.. I go today for the job interview... Oh my.. I was abolutely crapping my pants! I was sooo nervous.. and when people get nervous they shake and fidget!! The deputy Manager told me to stop fidgeting... lol !!
So its the manager, and deputy manager ... and ME!! So yeah... questions were tricky... but I did the usual ... babble on... So yeah... But I thought I did terrible.. I walked out the nursery kicking myself for being so bad! I didnt think I was good at all! I was thinking what a big disappointment..
BUT THEN an HOUR later ... I was in town with my sister, and I got a phone call... AGHHHH SCAREY.. I was going to throw it to Katie and say... IM NOT HERE.. but thought no.. face the fact I was pants!
(I know Im telling you everything... but its more effective then :P ahha)
I answered the call.. like.. aghh ... It was the manager... She was really nice... we greeted and blah.. She then says I HAVE THE FREAKING JOB!! So my first reaction was like... 'are you being serious? what?' in a squeeky voice. Yeah Im a doughnut! So yeah.. I have the job... There was 6people go for it... and well..I have it... I have to keep hush hush as noone else has been told or something ... I start in January or Febuary depending on the head office.
the other people who went for it were.. 2 other temps (one being there for a YEAR and the other being there about 4 months) 2 others were maternity covers, and any others were outsiders! So I am super pleased!
I did say there was 2 jobs going, however they are looking for a room leader for the other, so they are doing intveiws next week for those... so really there was A job going for level 3 nursery nurse...
and i got it!!!!! :D
