FRIDAY 6 FEBRUARY – Today’s got formal written all over it. Two meetings today, first my CPN – she’s cool, makes me feel at ease – then my Linkworker (my fixer) at the Project where I live. I have to set goals in all areas, but that’s good, targets to aim for and never lose sight of. Oh, guess what? It snowed overnight, so the UK has to come to a standstill. My duvet’s thicker than the snow. Everybody, the world has stopped so get off and onto your sled or piece of sheet metal. Both meetings have been rescheduled, but think positive, the first one’s later and the second earlier. So lie in then early night in front of the telly. It’s too icy to think of traipsing upto the off licence, might bust some of the goodies. Out of sight out of mind, doesn’t always work, but I’m in the warm and have at least achieved one good thing today. I’m clean and serene, and calm by nature. 86400 more triggers defeated. The furnace of temptation has been quelled. Save a knock on the door from someone under the influence or somebody runs up and down the stairs like an elephant on steroids – should be a quiet one.
