That Felt Good!

It's amazing how a good deed can make your spirit feel all warm and fuzzy ... I really got alot out of volunteering for our local Domestic Violence Center today. It's good to know that these places are out there for the women and children who need them. When it feels like the world is against you, and you're backed into a corner with nowhere to go ... these places take you in and get you back on your feet. It's incredible. And being in a situation like that once before - I can honestly say that I can relate. And I encourage any of you who have ever been a victim, or have know anyone that's been a victim of domestic violence, to go out and volunteer your time to help this amazing cause. Thank God for these people. I wouldn't be where I am today with out the Florida DV chapter, Favorhouse.

But back to today! We built a HUGE playground, 2 seperate sitting areas, and a back deck. There are other projects going on, like replacing windows, re-bricking the sides of the house, and putting up new columns and Hardi-siding. This place will be gorgeous when we're done with it. But more importantly, it will be SAFE. And sometimes you just can't take that for granted.
