Does it? or just it just protect against burn?

For me, it BARELY prevents the burn (I still get a little pink) and doesn't seem to affect the freckling at all. They still multiply like humpy bunnies on crack.

No. If you have freckles, they are always there. Freckles are just a concentration of melatonin, or coloration, in the skin. Sun will make them darker, and sunscreen will make them fade, but they are ALWAYS there. Lurking.

well, i had conssiderd tanning before, start in the winter at the tanning beds with a hi spf and low time on the bed, then gradually reduce the spf while increasing the time on the bed...... would be an interesting experiment to see if you could do it. uuummmm, you go first and let me know how that works out for ya, k??! :) as far as where you dont yet have them, hmmmmm, i think you would find out the answer to that at the same time... please take pics. hehehe

my sister has red hair and freckles like me but she has tried tanning. she was able to tan her body fairly well but got really dark freckles on her face/arms/legs. I used to avoid the sun like a vampire, the last two years I had jobs outside and got a little less albino. I burnt my legs badly about a year ago and I still have freckles there. but anyway, i dont suggest trying to tan because my sister had to have skin removed on her face from trying to tan to much and it was pre- cancerous. there are tanning lotions out there, I suggest using Aveeno Continuous Radiance(comes in diff. skin tones).

What's wrong with freckles? I haven't got many, well, they are very small. I like freckles but maybe it's just like having straight hair and wanting curls and the other way 'round...

nothing wrong with them, have a good bit on my forearms due to sun exposure but i was just curious about it. I happen to like them a lot on those of the opposite sex

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. If you don't have freckles in a certain area, exposure to the sun isn't just going to make them appear out of nowhere.
