Thanks about the music!

Oh, that I can relate to. I've been a scrooge, too, for a long time. For most of the same reasons. I guess if one had young kids, it would be different.

I enjoy the lights, and the eating, but I can do w/out most of the rest. Of course, it hasn't helped my attitude be be either working or on-call for most of the holidays the past ten years. My attitude has always been that if I need something, then I can justify buying it for myself, I'm not a hint-dropper trying to get someone else to pay. The calender has no bearing on my spending habits.

Had to chuckle about the misc. piercings in "Turn Offs", I can't get too fired up about ornamental metal either!
