I think you're right; it's more bittersweet than anything. I'm so glad she didn't get  physically hurt, for sure, but I just think, wow. That's a huge thing for anyone to deal with, much less an 11 year old girl.

I was home alone for at least 4-5 hours everyday after school from the time I was 10, and if something like that had happened, I wouldn't be here, so I'm really glad she could defend herself.
