Why So Serious?

Someone got mad at me during an online game. I will never understand why someone would take a simple game serious. It even got to the point where she called me a bitch, a loser, immature, and that no one likes/respect me.  I actually thought it was funny. For me, it will be all forgotten because it's just a game.

Has this ever happened to you? Have you lost your cool in a game?

I agree, I just try to find it funny, sense it usually is. It can also be hilarious to spark it or make it worse once it's already happened, when its intenntional on at least one side it normally gets way funnier, picture the guys playing mortal combatin 40 year old virgin, or Vince Von playing Madden in the Break Up, lol

had this happen to me plenty of times, but if I will play on xbox live i suppose I've got to expect it. I never really loose it with on-line play becasue im mainly just playing fps, the most they will get out of me if the odd muttered "feckin campers", but as vegas has already said dont let it get to you its prob just some 13 year old kid up past his bed time and a little cranky.

Unfortunately, there's plenty of people like this on the Internet. Anonymity allows people to revert to their core personalities. Don't take it personally.

I've lost my cool during a difficult game, but it wasn't an MMO so I didn't vent my frustration at somebody else. My throw pillows got fluffed rather vigorously, though.

And the fact that somebody blew up at you must mean you're really good at this game.
