Lah dee daa and doo dee dooo and Oh, hi there! It's just Eunice, passing through to say hello to my fellow redhedds.....
I hope that all of you are well, I have been super duper busy lately. Let's see, I've gone through parent leadership training within my hometown community and received a certificate that states I am now to be considered an "AGENT of TRANSFORMATION" or for short, Transformer - a Robot in disguise.
My mission is to defend parents, families, and children against the forces that be who are trying to either separate, obliterate, or just plain old bring the family down.
Incidentally, I am to participate in several other community coalitions and training programs that really act as both advocates for a family but also provide referrals to services within the community and/or assist in bringing assistance to parents of children with special needs. The beauty of these training sessions is that the majority are funded by federal grants and this allows the non-profit organization to afford to pay the parents a stipend disbursement to motivate the parent to continue to participate.
Yay! I am excited because these types of training assist me as a parent but also as a student of psychology and one day and not too long from now, I will begin working in the psychiatric community as a "something or other" and will be adept at more than what a text book can teach.
Incidentally, I gave a speech the other night for the commencement ceremony of our leadership training class and I had everyone on the edge of their seats, I shared my story and actually cried at the end....can you believe it - Eunice Crankyponts cried......I showed the crowd that there was a reason for my positive outlook and that I respect any person or persons with disabilities because I was once, considered disabled and unable to work.
Yet, I believe in working and never allowing some to tell me that I can't when I know that I can......if you catch my drift. I know that I am pig headed - so frikkin bear with me.
I am kinda sort of in a way but not sure how to define "seeing" someone - yes i have two eyes, he has two eyes and we actually have vision - so I "see" him and he "sees" me.....that's the gist of it. We are good friends as good as friends can be that do not have a heck of a lot of time to spend together... :P
that's about all I feel like writing today - Quick, someone piss me off so I have something to pontificate on! :)
