I Finally Know What I Want!

I have been doing some serious soul searching in light of my being single, and having three failed relationships this year, and I have come to a conclusion....its not me, its them! Ever since middle and high school (worst years of my life), I never was "the pretty one". I mean I was flat as a pancake, glasses, braces, you get the idea. Anywho, because I was in such a state, I would, and up until now, would date anyone who would want to date me, cause lets face it, I wasnt exactly beating them off with a stick...I wasnt picky at all. Well now all of that is going to change. I'm not saying I'm a Victoria Secret model (who would want to be they are too damn skinny), but I do have to say I think I am....well.....beautiful. I'm not vain and I'm certainly not haughty about it, but I think I am a pretty awesome person. I have a great personality, I'm smart, I have alot of interests, I'm fun, all in all I'm pretty awesome. And as someone very smart and beautiful herself said to me recently "I am hot girl status with ugly girl mindset" and that is going to change. I am going to be picky, I mean why settle? I am in my early 20's and eventually I want to get married and have a family and the whole bit so why "settle" for someone who doesnt want the same or cant mentally or financially fill the bill so to speak. So I have come up with...a list if you will of things I am and am NOT looking for in a guy, and I'm going to make this a public post so everyone can see it. No I'm not being snooty or stuck up in my choices, but hey its MY choices and nothing is going to sway them anymore and DAMN IT I'm going to be picky!!! So without further ado.....my list:

1. Must be older and taller than me.

2. Must have a stable job or be in college with a good future in sight.

3. Must have a working car, a nice one is perferable but not required.

4. Must live in the same state as me. I'm done with long distance

5. Must not be a smoker. Sorry guys I hate it with a passion

6. Must not be a druggie or alcoholic. No pot heads or alkies for me

7. I'm not a fan of the armed forces but upon review of person we shall see.

8. Must LOVE music, movie, the arts, books.

9. Must be a family person. My family is first in my life and I'd like the guy I'm with to feel the same about his.

10. No cheaters, players, or "bad boys" I've had enough of the womanizer type.

11. Must be smart, be able to carry on a conversation well and have a great mind.

12. Must have a great personality.

13. Must be able to get out and enjoy life and have fun.

14. Must be able to make me laugh. Humor is big part of my life.

15. I'm a fan of guys with brown hair and deep eyes, hair color doesnt really matter as long as you have great eyes.

16.Must keep clean, know what soap and a toothbrush is for and keep a nice clean cut, good look about him. I'm not saying polos and button downs everyday, but damn they do look good.

17.Must love animals

18. Back to the music, playing an instrument, especially guitar and/or sing well gives you MAJOR brownie points.

19. Must be a hopeless romantic, cause I'm one.

20. Must not have a record. I say this because my mother and family do back ground checks on every guy I date, I'm the only child and they are VERY protective.

21. Must not be a potty mouth. I'm not a fan of excessive swearing it shows lack of intellegence and will NOT be accepted around my family.

22. Must not be an a atheist. I'm not saying you have to be full christian or anything, but hey, you gotta believe in something.

23. No gothic, over punk, thug, wigger, red neck, any extreme of anything, its not needed and unattractive, there is a healthy medium to be found dear friends.

24. I'm not a fan of hair guys. Like I said I like the clean cut look, that includes hair. I like the smooth, non hairy chest...and for hair everywhere...keep it in check is all I'll say.

25. I am a sucker for accents. I dont mean the fake one that you can do on command or when drunk, I mean the real deal. A guy with an accent thats from Ireland or Scotland or England, or Australia, pretty much anywhere on "the other side of the pond" is sexy as hell!

26. Ok...for my only shallow point on my list....Must be hot and must be attractive. I'm sorry but if your not attracted both sexually and mentally it will NOT work out. I'm a fan of the cut guy with a little muscle that looks GOOD with his shirt off. Im not saying I want a body builder, but I also dont want a stick, nor "santa- clause" if you get my drift. What can I say? I want to WANT to look at the guy I'm dating and say....DAMN! Thats mine! Hahaha I'm a girl its what I do and I'm going to be picky.

So thats the list for now, I'm sure I'll think of more but thats a pretty good list to start off with. Think what you will of me but at least I know what I want and I wont settle for anything less than that. Later my loves!
