Music: Billy Joel - Don't Ask Me Why

Soooo why do I have so many people on my friends list but I only talk to 1/3 of these people?

Most of the people on my friends list have asked for friend requests but have never said a word to me...(BTW, that song choice was totally random.  Don't ask me why, b/c i have no idea)

I am thankful that some on here asked to be my friend when I first signed on.  It got me interested in becoming more involved in the forum.   I do agree though, its a little weird being silent, especially when others are commenting on their page.  I have a couple of friends on My space who I have known since I was a kid and I comment at least once a month or their page, but I never get a comment back.  It does kind of suck.

It's weird, I agree. I tend to think that people want to see big numbers next to their "friends" listing, and they may not respond because they're busy or, like Donna said, they don't know what to say.

It is weird, for sure.

Donna, I agree... but shouldn't the whole friends thing come after the conversations?

I know it's not that big of a deal :-P but seriously, why ask for a friend request and then be silent?  lol

it just happens. like on myspace i barely talk to anyone..and i have like 400 some friends haha. i like this though, because i can talk to people and not worry about adding them as friends. so idk just talk to them..there's no hurt in tryin. :)

It's probably because they just don't know what to say.  I guess you have to start up a conversation and hopefully the other person will respond.  If they don't....I don't know what to tell you.

Heck if i know, i just leave em there, not hurtin' nothin' i suppose

No, I don't think it's rude to drop people from your list.... If they aren't talking to u, I think they'll figure out why.  That is, if they even realized they lost a friend on their list. And, yeah Sin, I've experienced this empty reach as well.  I think it's time to start droppin people.

LOl Same here.  I talk to a few people alot and then the rest I never hear a word from. I'm not sure why.  I have reached out - so to speak - but very few have reached back.

I total hear you! I have 94 friends and I bet that I dont talk to even a 1/4 of them. I have thought of cleaning up my list, but then it might seem rude. Is this rude?!
