Hey Guys , I hadn't done a blog for a long while. However, yesterday at my new job, I was reading a book to a 3 lovely children (all boys). They wanted to read 'Sleeping Beauty'. So I did as I was ask. I'm sure everyone know's what Sleeping Beauty is all about. During the book, the boys where all snuggled up next to me, listening intently. Then one of the boy's pointed to the Prince, and said it was him. Then he pointed at the Princess and says 'Thats you.' looking up at me. I was sooooo touched.. and said 'Am I really as beautiful as her?' He reply's 'Yes, of course'. Then kissed me on the cheek. It touched me sooooo much. It was one of the sweetest things EVER!!! soooooooooooooooooooo I'm extermely happy at the moment... there are many reasons... but one of which is..I'll start from the beginning ladies and gents... right... as you all most likely know.. I work for an agency... I have been looking for a perminant job... In the mean while of searching for the job, I have been working at this one nursery I absolutely ADORE! AND LOVE!! so so so much! SO.. there has been TWO jobs open up there... (which is good) Unfortuantly I didnt know about this until the closing date of applying... I know annoying. So the deputy manager called me into his office and said get these forms filled in and hand them in by the end of the day... Okay hint much? So I did... took me an HOUR... to do it.. and I thought it was terrible as it was rushed... etc... my hand writing wasnt the best either. Anyways... I got an interview... obviously because Ive worked there, they know who I am, and blah blah.. (Ive literally been there for 6 months... as a temp) So.. I go today for the job interview... Oh my.. I was abolutely crapping my pants! I was sooo nervous.. and when people get nervous they shake and fidget!! The deputy Manager told me to stop fidgeting... lol !! So its the manager, and deputy manager ... and ME!! So yeah... questions were tricky... but I did the usual ... babble on... So yeah... But I thought I did terrible.. I walked out the nursery kicking myself for being so bad! I didnt think I was good at all! I was thinking what a big disappointment.. BUT THEN an HOUR later ... I was in town with my sister, and I got a phone call... AGHHHH SCAREY.. I was going to throw it to Katie and say... IM NOT HERE.. but thought no.. face the fact I was pants! (I know Im telling you everything... but its more effective then :P ahha) I answered the call.. like.. aghh ... It was the manager... She was really nice... we greeted and blah.. She then says I HAVE THE FREAKING JOB!! So my first reaction was like... 'are you being serious? what?' in a squeeky voice. Yeah Im a doughnut! So yeah.. I have the job... There was 6people go for it... and well..I have it... I have to keep hush hush as noone else has been told or something ... I start in January or Febuary depending on the head office. the other people who went for it were.. 2 other temps (one being there for a YEAR and the other being there about 4 months) 2 others were maternity covers, and any others were outsiders! So I am super pleased! I did say there was 2 jobs going, however they are looking for a room leader for the other, so they are doing intveiws next week for those... so really there was A job going for level 3 nursery nurse... and i got it!!!!! :D join me with a victory dance?

Okay, so today is ‘Children in Need’, so working with children we take part into raising money for children in need. At work today,we dressed up, each room had different themes, (banana’s in pj’s, pj’s, polka dots, and lazy town characters) I was in the room’s involving jammies, so I wore this: (in my pj bottoms, slippers and jumper!)
I think the nursery raised LOTS of money, as they did a cake sale (which children made), we also donated money (children and staff), £2 each, Im not completely sure how much was raised but sure it was a few hundred pounds. (english money!!!) On television tonight they have done a ‘children in need’ programme, lots of money is raised, famous people get involved and put on a brilliant show. Its on BBC now!!!!!!!!
YIPPIE!!!! Right, start from the beginning! I work for a agency - I basically temping at different nurseries. I love my job dont getme wrong, but recently have been feeling Im being messed about, and am well going to places I dislike! I feel as if its a waste of my time at the moment. I dont geta chance to 'know the children' feel a part of the group. Also to cheese me off even more, a nursery i have been temping at alot, said I could get a job there, however they keep shortening my shifts, and changing their minds of me working there permanently. It has started to get to me, if they want me then good, if they dont then fine no worries, I just dont like them hovering in between. MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!! So feel Im being messed around!!! Basically I feel as if Im a outsider in these nurseries. Its NOT the nurseries, its my line of work, being moved around everyday, noone has that chance to get to know me, and I dont have the chance to get to know them So, It was building up and up. As you all know I had hand foot and mouth, and well was signed off work for a week, my sick pay was ridiculous. This pushed me over the pretend cliff..... SOOOO . I have been looking for a PERMANENT job at a nursery. I applied for a job on my own, and have a job interview WEDNESDAY!!! YAYAYA!! (wish me luck pleaseeeeeeee) The agency also knows that I want a permanent job, and have been very supportive, they have hunted 2 jobs down for me, pretty close I have job interviews with both of them on MONDAY 3RD NOVEMBER!!!!! YAYAYAYAY (wish me luck closer the time please heheh) As the agency have introduced me to the nurseries, they get money for it, I think it works out to be about 10% of my wage (not out of my wage though). So the agency are very eager for me to get one of the jobs they have set up for me. However I did the first job independantly (wednesday interview) So the agency wont get money with that. So tehy arent that keen.... however Im still going, have a choice of places!!! SO theres my update!!! IM SOOOO EXCITED!!!!
I have the virus, ‘Hand, Foot and Mouth’!!!!!!!!! NO it is not what the cows have. As I just explained to mum, I have hands, but cows have hooves! It is nothing serious, but very uncomfortable, and pretty much S.H.I.T.! (Sorry for swearing, but this is a pretty good word to sum up how I feel). I do not have the full symptoms, however, I do have spots on my hands, I have a SWOLLEN mouth and tongue. Ulcers in my mouth, and a sore throat. Accompanied by a temperature, sweating, vomiting, and ‘creme de la creme’ a BANGING HEADACHE! WHOOP WHOOP!! Because of the ulcers and the swollen tongue, I can hardly talk, I can’t really eat, drinking is difficult, and taste isn’t too good. This blog is also for parents of young children under the age of 10, to be aware of this virus, it is NOT serious, but it will make your child poorly and miserable, it apparently only last’s about a week. I will put a link at the bottom of the blog for you to look up. However, it is rare for adults or older children to be infected by this virus. SO GUESS WHICH ADULT, THE ONLY ADULT IN THE NURSERY WON THE PRIZE OF THIS DELIGHTFUL (NOT!!!!) VIRUS!!! YEP THAT WOULD BE ME... LIZZIE!!! I went to the doctors today; the doc has signed me off for a week as it is contagious. They have also given me some gel for my ulcers, and have talked me through motions of the virus.
