Some of you may, or may not, be aware of this. I found it earlier today on a warez website. (thats a website I go on to not download illegal copies of software, games and songs using my rapidshare account lol) Apparently, theres a company that sells audio which has the ability to aide in the relief of sleep deprevation, lack of concentration, low energy levels and even depression. Which I think is brilliant, if it works. But while looking through the music page, I saw this topic:

"Get stoned & drunk & more from SOUNDS!"

So yeah, I opened it lol. This is made by the same company and apparently each piece of audio us supposed to mimic the effects of a drug, I dont know how, apparently its got something to do with the frequency of the tones which affects the dopamine gland in your brain, which gives off the desired effect - much like taking the drug. Theres a whole list of them on this website.

I was skeptic at first, but I read some of the replies from people who tried them and it made me wonder - and with it being free, whats the harm. So I downloaded the "Quick Happy" version. A 5 minute audio track, on MP3 format, of static-like noise which is supposed, to make the listener feel slightly more happy afterwards: as a shorter relief from depression, as the others are all over 30minutes long.

So I listened to it. And it was weird. I didnt feel like anything was happening, until after it'd finished and I just laughed to myself thinking "what the feck was that?" because my head started to feel abit thick, as if you've just stood up too fast and the blood rushes to your head, only without the horrible pain part afterwards. My sister started laughing at me cause I was smiling alot, I actually felt happy, it was so fecking weird. So naturally she wanted a go. She pushed me off the chair and listened to it. And she felt the same thing, and the same results happened to her.

So Ive downloaded a few more to try. And figured, Ive gotta share this lol.

Theres nothing really on that site for anyone, I just posted to show that its actually legit and this cant actually harm you.

I forgot to mention that you HAVE to have headphones in, preferably ones that go into your ear and block the sound outside. It says what kind on the website, but any will do, aslong as you can block the sound.

I have heard about these , there was a story on 60min the other week about it. Not audio off the internet but similar = a psychologist was bring a machiene over from the US, which sends a pulse through your brain which is supposed to help people with depression. Same thing sort of all to do with waves being sent to the brain!

I dont get how it works, because it was my understanding that depression was caused by a chemical inbalance in the brain. Anyways!

Hmm... weird.

Although it sounds plausible, it may also just be a placebo effect.

Someone needs to do a test where they don't read what it's supposed to do and report back how they felt when it was over.

Someone give their consent to Lennon to try any of them and then Lennon, you should upload a secret one somewhere to be downloaded and see if they feel what they were supposed to after listening to it!
