I just went to see the movie Made of Honor. I loved it! Yet it makes me sad, why do they have to have another romantic movie about a girl finding her "prince charming" type guy and moving to a freaking castle. As if Disney hasn't made enough happily ever after movies that brainwash us from a young age. I'm done ranting. I don't like being a romantic living in a world where happily ever after doesn't exist. Yeah, I know i'm crazy  lol.

True love, even storybook love, still does exist. People have just become addicted to instant gratification and go looking for love in a bar or at work. Ya gotta be patient for that somone who never leaves your thoughts. When it happens, you won't have to wonder about it.

I know right!!!!!

Disney taught generations of little girls that they have to be perfect princesses who can only live HAPPILY ever after with theyre prince. But in which film does Disney teach the lil boys to be princes...urm, nevah!!!

But I still love the films, the songs are addictive!!

IDK if made of honour is over here yet, havnt heard of it.

:)

Disney targets women with what women want to see, and men with what men want to see.  It's up to you to separate fantasy from reality.

I agree with you zookeeper. Happily ever after doesn't exist.

Well happily ever after does exist for the shareholders of Disney Corp. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

HAHA.

Seriously, don't punish yourself going to "those" movies if ya hate 'em.  In some peoples minds, happily every after does exist, there are examples out there of things working and not working, it's all up to the individual's point of view.

*off of soap box now*

Well, the theme IS getting a wee bit repetetive. For that matter, it seems that there are very few movies made anymore that are truely original. So many re-makes - maybe the Hollyweird writers should all have been stood against the wall and shot when they went on strike. That would be an interesting take on the "None of the Above" philosophy.

Hey Zoo have you seen the disney film "Enchanted" starts like most other fairy stuff but a bit more modern day and best of all the princess is a red.

And you know fairy love does happen it just the happily ever after than tends to get a bit messed up, but hey you couldnt say "that they lived quite happy but apart from the odd argument here and there" doesnt have the same ring to it.
