Was talking to someone the other day, and remembering a sunburn I once got on my eyelids (fell asleep in line for a show; avoid that, if you can), and how it felt like someone had coated my face with hairspray and they were almost swollen shut.

Not fun.

The other weird/SUPER painful I remember was inner thighs. Was up at Boulder Res with some friends, and one of my buds wanted me to cornrow his hair. Slathered with sunscreen, I settled in...crosslegged...and yep, inner thighs.

Pretty much the hurtiest one I've ever had; I could hardly walk.

So yeah, share.

lol this ones for me eh? Hmmm worst sunburn I've had so far? I was working in a junk yard (bad job already) and they decided since I was new I didn't need a yard car to get around in....So 9 hours later I returned to my apartment with sunspots (Almost a purpole color) on my arms, had blisters on my neck and even my scalp was burned.....Under my hair! I didn't move the rest of the night......

Reading this made me remember the time my feet got sunburnt. I was at the beach and fell asleep reading a book... At the time I thought it was ok cos I had literally soaked my skin in suncream, but alas forgot my feet, especially my toes...

I woke up with red peeling insteps and tiny tomatoes for toes...

Walking was an unmercifully painful chore for a few days... But what was worse was the mocking and taunting from my little sister... She's got brown hair you see... and doesn't burn but freckles and tans very evenly...

oh well... does anybody know how you can combat you're scalp from getting burnt?

The family and I used to go to the cape and stay there on the beach back when you could still camp on it in the '80s,  so we'd be out there from sunup until sundown,   and my mom missed a huge triangular spot on my chest one day when I was about 5.  Needless to say that was a sweet sunburn. Cool pattern though.

A few years ago I went down with my 3 younger brothers to go party for a weekend at my aunts cabin in Harwich,  and I buckle fractured my l-4 and l-5 vertebrae  jumping off a sand dune early in the morning so I sat in a beach chair all day and drank a liter of rum to my head the next morning I woke up and I was maroon.

I have two to tell about.

I am going to start with the sunburn I recieved when I was about 14 or so and I was "laying out" on my mom's deck...thinking I would beat the odds I guess and be able to "tan" like all the rest of my friends....

I didn't live with my mom and was there on a weekend visit and I had forgotten my swim suit so I decided to wear my mom's bikini top...please keep in mind that my mom had a size A/B cup...a small B anyway I was a D at that time. I was trying to fit myself into her bikini and it just wasn't working.

Well I was bound and determined so I got those puppies in there...popping out everywhere, but they were in!

So I laid down on the fold out lawn chair and fell asleep...When I woke up, those size D that I tried to squish into her B bikini top had fallen out. I sunburned my nipple! OUCH! THAT was the worst!! It hurt like hell! Oh and know that this deck was on a second story off the kitchen, so it wasn't like anyone saw me.

My second story is about my brother.

He was tanning because he was going out to Vegas to see  NASCAR race and one of the last times that he went in, (tanning naked of course) he sunburned the back of his scrotum. He was walking boa legged for a couple of days. (he's not a redhead, he's part Italian) I always give him shiznit about that.

I have a couple of real bad ones:

First, I sometimes get my scalp sunburned.  You know, I just don't think to rub any in my hair...

Second, I was at the beach when I was little and my shoulders and back got burned so bad they were all blistery.  For some reason, I also remember going to the post office with my mom shortly after that and the back of my gray t-shirt had water spots on it from the popped blisters!  It makes me cringe just typing it up!
