  1. The Apostolic Bible Polyglot, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! this Bible (for English readers), which is based on the Septuagint Scriptures, the Old Testament books of which (mostly written in Biblical Greek) were the PRIMARY Scriptures Jesus Christ, His apostles, and His followers of His day used and relied upon in ancient Judea, Samaria, etc.;

One doesn't need to know (Biblical) Greek with it, but at least one does needs to know English with it.  Bibles like this are expensive because they're unique/special.  Ones like this are not really designed for 'mass consumption,' and are mainly used by Theologians, priests/pastors, et al.; i.e., they're more scholarly. Much more standard/mainstream/'pop' Bibles in the U.S. are those like the King James Version ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_James_Version ) or the New International Version ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_International_Version ), etc. Bibles like these are ubiquitous and can be purchased in just about every bookstore, mall, shopping center, etc. and are inexpensive. Although, plenty of churches and Christian organizations regularly or perpetually GIVE Bibles like these away FREE OF CHARGE. So, they're essentially 'free' in the U.S. to anyone who is serious enough about getting a free copy.   They're also purchased and given away as gifts too, I've done this myself with The Apostolic Bible Polyglot and have purchased and given away several as Christmas gifts. =)  I would have given out FAR MORE! than I have too, if I could afford it.   What's the 'main'/popular Bible among Lutherans in Deutschland, BTW darling? =)
