Hi, Okie. Are you reading this, Okie? You sent me a random friend request the other day. Even though you've never even talked (well, typed) to me on this site, or even so much as dropped a comment when you visited my profile. I commented you, asking why you would do such a thing, as the idea just seems absurd to me. I saw that you visited my profile again today, Okie. But you did not reply to my comment. Yet, your freind request still stands. I tried to comment you; asking you why you would do such a thing, but alas. Now I HAVE to be your friend in order to view your profile. Clever, Okie. Very clever. So I broke down and accepted your friend request, just for the sake of being able to comment your profile on this. But for some reason, I STILL can't view your page. Bad, Okie. Very bad.

When I joined this site, I randomly requested people as friends and I have had several on here as well.
Is it possible that you maybe have something in commom? Maybe he thought he would be friendly?
THIS to me seems really rude, this should be something that you should message him about and NOT post as a forum topic.
I have had redneck_okie on here as a friend from the day that he joined because he is one of my very good friends husband, and he is a very nice guy.
You think his action was absurd for requesting a friend....I Think THIS is absurd.

I would message him if I COULD. And having a "friend" that you have no rapport with what-so-ever just doesn't make any sense to me. At least I'm making an attempt to speak with him, while he has done no such thing.

I don't think it's rude, I think it's an honest attempt to contact the man. When you're blocked by someone, you have no other way to contact them, and this public forum has been used many times to call out to people.

IF you are actually blocked by someone, its usually for a reason. Again it was HIS choice not to have his profile viewed by the pubic.
I guess you find me appalling "thee_stranger" because I friend requested you after "speaking" with you after just one time.....hmmmm Sorry I guess I can be appalling, didn't know that was so offensive.
