If you're family and friends are like mine, they find it highly amusing when you get sunburn, and may even stoop so low as to take pics of your tenderly sun-ravaged skin for their own amusement.
So let's share our pain.

I have always found that when at the beach friends seemed to take great delight in repeatedly saying "You should really put on more sunblock so you don't burn. I have a darker comlexion so I don't need it as much... but YOU... you should probably put on more sunblock."

You should put on some sunblock - but I don't have to because I have a darker complexion than you.

I avoid this problem by staying out of the sun altogether, much like a vampire. I used to get some nasty burns as a child though. I'm talking second degree complete with blisters. Always fun.

When I put on sunblock it's like buttering the turkey before you put it in the oven! sunblock makes me burn more so than if I don't put any one so I am probably going to end up with skin cancer at one point in my life. I suffer and use aloe vera and a wet cloth and whine like a baby when it is really bad!! lol

You know what I've found to realy work to guard against sunburn -- a t-shirt and hat --- I know, it's really cutting edge!
