I'm kidding. My name is Dylan and although I am not a redhead (despite my mother's wishes) I do love them. So when a friend suggestion I join this site; I did. I'm kinda new here, so don't rag on the n00b for his ignorance, so I thought I'd post a little more about myself. Though I don't really know what to say...so I'll just ramble on a little and see how that goes.
I am, first and formost an artist. Art is my live and I've been doing it since I was a kid. My mother is an artist, mainly crafts; her mother is an artist, has done a lot of mediums but mostly rughooking now and has even been featured in several magazines (one coming soon features a rug of me on my motorcycle ^_^), both of her parents were artists, and a ton of family members on my Dad's side are artistic in diffenert ways too. So you see why I kinda lean towards this a little.
I am currently hoping to break out a little, though its slow going. But I am taking all and all positive feedback to heart and using it as inspiration. Although I haven't had any great success yet, I have had some little victories that I'm proud of. I have an artist in Canada who is very interested in my work and hopes to see something major happen and I was even advertised by the popular Lora Zombie for my portrait I drew of her. You may or not have heard of me already, I dont really know if word about me travels much, I doubt it.
When i'm not working on my art, I'm normally working on cars or motorcycle or playing guitar. I will admit, I am a gearhead, but I am kind of an odd one. For instance, my prized car is an '87 Volvo 245 DL and my prized motorcycle is an '82 Yamaha XS400J. Neither you'll find at a Barret-Jackson auction, but I love them dearly and I dont think I'll ever love a car as much as I love 'Lucille'; she's just bad ass. (Yes, I named my car Lucille)
If you can't guess, I am a bit of a nightowl (It's 4am as I type this), and I probly do spend too much time online. it is what it is.
I like to pride myself on being a good listener and a good friend. In fact, I am generally the first person to offer a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to a ranting vent. Its just who I am.
My mind works in strange way, hense me calling myself an oddball. I'm the type of person that sees the world slightly skewed from everyone else and I have often forgotten to re-install that filter between my brain and my mouth. I do try to keep my brain in check, but sometimes it runs off on its own.
Ok...well i'm running out of things to say right now. I blame it on the late hour and the abundance of blood in my caffine system.
Well that's me in a nutshell, if you have anything you want to know, just ask. I'm pretty much an open book. And I love getting to know new people, so...maybe someone will like what they see and messege me or something...
