Baking and making "candy" today
Posted On 12/16/2008 16:28:59 by BrandiLea
The kids Christmas Program wasn't cancelled tonight so I am very happy about that. We decided that we are going to leave for Iowa tomorrow night instead of Thursday because of the impending Ice Storm that we are suppose to get.

I spent most of the afternoon baking and making "candy" of sorts. Here are some pictures.

These are Peanut butter blossoms. You make a standard peanut butter cookie and when they are almost done you but a chocolate star on it and bake if for about 2 more minutes.

I don't even know what you call this next thing...its a round pretzel, with a hersey's kiss in the middle of it. Lay wax paper on a baking pan,  lay out round pretzels and put in a chocolate kiss. Bake at 375 for 3 minutes. Remove and put a M&M in the middle and then let cool for at least an hour and half or until the chocolate is firm.

Last are "Peanut Butter cups"

Sandwich ritz crackers with peanut butter and dip in chocolate almond bark. Lay on Wax paper and remove when hardened.

YUMMY!!!!

I had something similar to the pretzel one at a party last week, only they used the "windowpane" looking pretzels. They were mighty tasty. Those all look great. I guess I need to get to baking.
