Won't You...? (Inspired by Adele)

I must live under a rock because yesterday I heard for the first time Adele's "Someone Like You". It's now one of my ALL TIME favorite sad/love songs. Beautiful, poetic, emotional, sad, POWERFUL! As a romantic, I immerse myself in lyrics about love lost and gained. Her words are simple and in her own way coming straight from the heart. As a man, i jealous that such a person with innate feelings such as mine wrote a song to someone that must have been really something in her life. Thus the one that got away...
I've gained inspiration from the song and wrote something myself based on my past experiences.

Got all these girls on speed dial now

It’s hard to believe what I am now about

With my skin tan and my heart strong

I still just want to write you all the songs

To me you and I are still flying freely

Dude! Pleasure to make your acquaintance :) Thanks for the constructive criticism.

I wrote this piece based on someone that was the girl of my dreams...THE ONE if you will, and yeah, she ripped me to shreds. But getting back to piece, the point of the third verse is that i had to keep going on with life although i did not want to without her. In describing my 'conquests' i try to convey that sometimes there are things certain people possess that make up ALL the qualities that to me only one person already had. I write my pieces based on true encounters and experiences.

It's also really cool to meet another musician..my gig is drums. Good luck with your band my friend!

Black Sabbath - Solitude

 

Give it a listen,bet most people who think of Black Sabbath won't be expecting that song.

 

This is constructive criticism so don't fly off the handle on me,

The first two verses,you mention how this girl pretty much made yourl ife and even though it's been quite a while she still affects you but yet in the third verse, i dunno it just seems like a revenge where you get to name drop recent 'conquests' it doesnt really go with the rest of it.

 

Now if you had music to that, I'm guessing this where the psychadelic smutty funk breakdown kicks in
