In intermediate high school (10th grade), I used to bring books to school to read in my down time.

This particular time, I brought my comprehensive LOTR book and set it down at my lunch table in order to get food without the hindrance of a HUGE book.

When I came back someone had smashed french fries in the middle of its pages.

I cried so hard that my dad bought me a new one.

That very person armed with fries probably now loves the characters in the movies! Funny how older memories pop up from time to time :)

Remembering that little story made me want to find my copy on the bookshelf and read it all again.. and then have a LOTR marathon.

There's just no accounting for taste with some people.

I'm such a Tolkien fan, I actually have a replica of The One Ring. I'm trying to get the same jewelry company to try their hands with The Rings Of Man.

I have a comprehensive Tolkien volume. I practically had to have it airlifted back to my house!
