ANYhoo, so, the "phone interview" I was supposed to have "first thing" Thursday morning turned out to be a crockpot of excrement. To clarify, this is to get on the active roster of a very good graphic/web design temp agency. Could both rock and save my world, for reals.
Anyway, like I said, steaming pile of fecal matter, cuz here's why:
a) I'd been awake and ostensibly conscious for probably close to 34 hours as of 6 a.m. Thursday morning. So I set my alarm for 8, told myself "cat nap" and essentially sunk into a stupor (oh, but it was lovely!).
b) They didn't call at 8 a.m.
c) So, still stuporing, I reset the alarm for 9, and re-sank.
d) Relevant to nothing there's a freaking HUGE fly in my room and it's working my LAST nerve.
e) Where was I? Oh, yes. They didn't call at 9, either. Set alarm for another hour, re-sank (cuz at that point I was getting a little bit of an attitude plus I was in "screw it I'm sleepy" mode).
f) Gag me with a quote mark.
g) So, this went on, an hour at a time, til noon. Whereupon I rose from whatever another word for stupor is, and gave 'em a ringie dingie. I received (OH THIS FUKING FLY!) a sincere apology, extollations (that's so not a word) of what a crazy day it had been, and promises that they'd call me "later this afternoon."
h) Roundabout 3:30 p.m. guess what happened? You know it, bruthahman. Thing is, though: this was just a continuation of the "pre" interview of the previous afternoon.
i) I KNOW! So, yeah, the "real" thing is to happen on Monday, wherein I will be called upon to take at least one of those stupy "we don't like your time-saving shortcuts and we record EVERY keystroke and mouse click" computer tests--probably focusing on Photoshop. I hate those tests. Cuz I'm the shortcut Queen, for reals.
j) So...there's that. Wish me luck?
