I was watching The Tonight Show the other night, and Cate Blanchett was on. She was talking about how to calculate what your stage name would be if you worked in porn. She said that you take the name of your first pet as your first name, then take the name of the first street you lived on as your last name. (Cate said her first pet was named "Pinky Puss." Would you watch that movie?)
As for my name, my grandfather had paranoid schizophrenia just like I do, except he was never diagnosed or treated. He had a pet pit bull, and gave it a name which he thought was guaranteed to strike fear into the hearts of intruders. We also lived in a part of Calgary, Canada that didn't have names for streets.
